Bereavement
Losing a loved one
When you have lost a Jewish loved one, the Synagogue can put you in touch with the Chevra Kadisha (the Orthodox Burial Society), to help you through this time of loss. Ring on +353 83 207 6415 or email dublinhebrew@gmail.com at any time of the day or night, and someone will get back to you. The Chevra Kadisha also offers affordable membership plans through a DHC subscription for the family, so that you or your loved ones don't have to worry about funeral bills at a time of anguish.
Stone settings
Twelve months after your loved one's passing, it is customary to erect a permanent memorial stone. When you have a Sunday in mind, be sure to contact the Synagogue Office at dublinhebrew@gmail.com to check on its availability and to avoid event clash. We can also help you with booking the Samuel Taca Hall foyer for a post-stone setting reception if required.
